I have no control of the rear hydraulics. When I start the tractor, the rear hydraulics lift to their max height and stay there. absolutely no response from the control lever. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Plenty of previous posts on this one.
Will be a stuck control valve.
Drain off a couple of gallons of transmission oil, remove the RHS round cover plate by your heel, the one with the dipstick fitted to it.
Reach in and try to move the small control lever coming up from the hydraulic pump. It has a roller attached to it. You may leave the engine idling while you do this, as the oscilator will assist in freeing up the valve.
Causes for this problem can be varied. A worn valve and seal discs, a broken oscilator arm or dirty oil can be causes.
let us know the outcome,
Evan.

Hi, Evan has undoubtedly hit the nail on the head with the suggestion of a broken oscillator link. The photo shows the later metal type. Yours on the 35 were made from aluminium and are prone to breaking.

Thanks for the info. Now I just need time to go work on it. How much is involved in replacing the oscillator link?

You will need to remove the lift(hitch) cover, remove the PTO shaft and collapsible drive tube and shaft. Remove the pump locating dowels on either side of the rear diff housing, and out she comes!
Evan.
