Coil connection to distributor on Massey Harris 44

Which terminal on the coil should be connected to the distributor on a Massey Harris 44, the positive or the negative?

Re-assembling during restoration, and realized forgot to record which coil post was connected to the distributor.

Depends on what ground you have. If 6 volts and still factory ground as in + ground the + side goes to the distributor. But if 12 volts and - ground then the - side goes to the distributor. No matter what on ALL coils what ever ground is that will be the side of the coil that goes to the distributor on any engine

The wire from the coil to the distributor is attached to the coil termnal that has the same sign as the battery ground.
