I have to replace the clutch in my MF 1100 diesel. The local MF dealer parts dept. did not inspire confidence when I called to check availabilty of parts and price. Have you guys got a recommendation for an on-line vendor for a clutch kit? Thanks.

Thank you, gentlemen. I have the inspection plate off. I can see it's a dual disk clutch and have the Part # of the pressure plate. Damper springs from the back disk have popped out and jammed the pressure plate. The release bearing is worn out as well. I can't complain. It's the original clutch. I will be splitting the tractor Saturday. I found a Clutch & Powertrain shop that said they can either get the parts or rebuild what I have.

It looks like there is more than one type of clutch used on the 1100.

The parts person was possibly not willing to do the work of sorting out which one you needed for a price quote.

The parts books are available online. You are most likely going to have to look them up yourself to be sure you are getting the right parts even if you decide on aftermarket parts.

These are a hard one to find parts for.
The clutches in this model were only applicable to the 1100 and 1135 tractors. Nothing aftermarket available from Sparex, Vapormatic, Bare-co or Bepco as far as I am aware. Try the "A and I" site, they do list some parts there.
What part/s do you require? If you only need a drive plate, and reputable clutch rebuild shop may be able to do something with your old plate.

Hi,
I can't find any reference in my European Bepco catalogue for the 1100 etc to confirm what Evan has said.
Looking on the AGCO screen parts book there are 3 main vatriations on the clutch units fitted.
There is a diesel dual clutch, a unit for the gas and diesel engine and one for the gas and LPG versions.
There are also numerous clutch plate options.
Probably it will be a case of stripping it first to see what you have fitted before ordering any parts.
