The power steering pump on our early model 175 has developed a leak. A crack has appeared in the "rear cover", the piece that the reservoir bolts to.
I removed three screws that go through the timing gear cover into the front of the pump. The pump still seems to be solidly attached to the engine.
I have a bad feeling about this question, but anyway, are there screws behind the timing cover that must be removed to get the pump off?
