1100 Hyd trouble

I have a 1100 that the hyd stoped working on. I found have no oil from the charge pump. So i pulled the top found the charge pump and it should move oil. So i noticed the drum that turns the charge pump turns by hand. So i pulled the kill out and cranked over the motor. The drum just kind of jerks every little bit. I figure it should spin all the time or am i wrong. Has anyone else ever had a similar problem? Thanks for any help.

That sounds like it could be a torn out spline. if you can spin that housing that runs the charge pump, then there is one of i think three splines on the way back from the motor that could be torn out and just "catching" from time to time. The PTO won't work either if this is the case, since they run off the same shaft. There is a replaceable adapter that bolts to the flywheel that is somewhat common to get torn out, not too bad to get to but you have to split it
