If you do a search for images of Massey Ferguson 1155 tractors on google, as you scroll through the images a MF 1155 with cab and front wheel assist comes up! First off how did they install that on this tractor and make it work since there is no way of driving it off driveline with a drop box!? Secondly does anybody know anything about this tractor cause I'd love to do that to mine!? If anybody has information on the person to contact please hook me up! If I knew how to post a picture of it on here I would! Traction was always the limiting factor on these tractors since the engine would never quit......just would smoke alittle more as you increase the load on them! Probably one the best tractors MF ever made! Thank you! |

| There was an aftermarket company that sold the FWA on masseys, I have personally seen them on the 27xx series, but they also made them for the 11xx tractors. I think the company was FIMCO, or EMCO, or something along those lines, but I know that parts are basically non-existent.... |

| | 1973 MASSEY FERGUSON 1155 Tractor. Seen at the Machinery display at the 2012 New Zealand Ploughing Championship held at Cambridge, Waikato, New Zealand. Clickable Large View Comments and faves Roscoe's AC (10 months ago) That's the first 4X4 or FWA 1155 I've seen. I would say its an after-market addition. It definitely looks the part.
Branxholm (10 months ago) Yes it was very impressive in the flesh. Alister Anderson (10 months ago) I beleave this is a Davidson conversion Ross Gear+Head (10 months ago) There are a couple of these that show up to the pulls each summer, less the 4 wheel drive. They are certainly impressive to look at ! |

| Thanks for the response guys! Yeah I knew about Elwood and Coleman front wheel drive kits but to my knowledge the are all driveshaft driven off the transmission with a drop box. I believe Napco builds just truck front wheel drive assemblies? Our neighbor had a John deere hydraulic front wheel drive 4640 he ran for a number of years and liked it but sold it later to upgrade to 4wd tractor. I figured that MF 1155 was hydraulic drive since it had a big oil tank on the front. Who built the hydraulic kits for the Masseys does anybody know? Has Mud Hog company every made a kit for tractors or just combines? Thanks |

| I know Mud Hog built them for Case tractors of the late 70's early 80's. |
