Hey Evan,

News tonight had a report on the flooding on the East Coast (Queensland/NSW)... Does it affect you?

Hope all is ok with you over there.

Oli

G'day Oli,
Yeah, we dodged another bullet this way...like we did two years ago.
Copped 502 m.m. of rain in three days, not enough to cause major damage or flooding, but further north around Bundaberg, they scored over a metre or 39" of rain in less than two days, poor buggers.
Down south in New South Wales it's the same story, and the monsoon season has just begun.
Keep you posted,
Evan.

It was not all bad news. The tail end of the cyclone dropped 130mm (5 inches) on our farm south of Goondiwindi.

We grow our crops on stored soil moisture, so we are about half way to having enough moisture for the next winter crop. We will plant in the March to May period.

Yep, good point, Bob. That's the one upside to every flood, it tops up that ground water for a good while. You have probably seen this before but chances are, we'll get another cyclone before the summers over,
good luck and regards,
Evan.
