I have a 175 Massey Ferguson that the fuel gage does not work.I have installed a new gage, had the generator check out, replaced the voltage regulator and sending unit. When I run a wire from postive on the battery to the gage, it reads a level. |

| It may be the (dont know the exact name) power switch that makes a connection from oil pressure. There is a small oil line that runs to it under the dash and when the tractor builds oil pressure it flips the switch and sends power out to the fuel gauge etc. Just check it with a test light. I had to change mine. |

| I think you are referring to the exciter that is under the dash. Once the oil pressure is detected, the panel powers up. |
