? On Massey 44 Block Sleeve Stand Out

As posted earlier I am working on a 277 engine. I am dry fitting the sleeves. Sleeve stand out is to be between .0015 - .004. 1,3,and 4 sleeves are acceptable, but #2 is .003 on the distributer side and .006 on the manifold side. At first #2 sleeve didn't want to go in as well as the others, but after honing the o-ring hole in the block, #2 slides in just as easy as the others. Switching sleeves around does not correct this problem. I had the block dipped in town and asked if it needed planed, he said he would check it. When I picked it up I thought he said it was fine(have not been able to get back with him to verify this). Wondering what I need to do to correct this problem.
 
If you have tried all the sleeves in that hole I'm thinking the o-ring bore is off center holding that sleeve tipped in the bore. Every thing needs to be clean enough so when you dry fit the sleeves they drop right in, not push in, drop in with a klank. I would put some prussian blue around the top flange off that hole and see if your are getting a seat on the bottom side of the top flange. First check the deck of the block and make sure it's good. The flange of the sleeve absolutely has to set flat in the upper bore or it will break or crack. I'm thinking you may have to move the bottom bore where the 0-rings go over some to let that sleeve set flat on top. maybe possible with a drum sander or similar set up. If your sleeves all are setting flat on the flanges and the deck happens to be off by that one hole the head should seal on the sleeve ok and the gasket should be ok to take up the difference around that cylinder. I'm thinking that sleeve is tipped in the bore though.
 
I honed out the bottom bore some more today, got it to where I think it will work. I put ultra copper on like you said in a earlier post. Thanks for the advice.
