Looking for help to id this wrench.
Could it be from a Massey Harris implement ?
What colour should it be? Or maybe just plain steel?
Found it cleaning up stuff in the barn. Could be fun as my tractor club IS featuring Massey Harris next summer.
Measures 9/16, 3/8, 11/16.
Thanks for your help

I really haven't a clue, except it could easily be for an implement as you say. I say that because of the square hole which could have been used to turn an adjustment shaft or something. Just a wild guess. I'm sure someone will be able to enlighten us.

There are over 300 wrenches out there with the MH imprint on them. Would they have been painted out of the fatory? Beats me. Most of mine are the fimailar "rust" color!!

I have seen them in variety of colors but my favorite is the take them down to the bare metal and just clearcoat them. This keeps the old look but makes for a fresh presentation. I have seen the older wrenches painted "Challenger" green and the newer ones painted MH red. Both have had the stamped MH and numbers highlighted with yellow.

If you could find a number on the wrench I could probably tell what equipment it was used with!

Just my opinion.

Thanks guys. At least I think I can say its a Massey Harris wrench.
Now all I have to do is come up with a farcical story on how rare the implement is and how much rarer the wrench is for when I show it off at next summers show!
