samn40 01-17-2013 07:43:20 217.43.59.224 Report to Moderator	Talking about trucks last night reminded me of these photos I have stored in my computer. They are some of Tom French's Volvo aticulated tipper lorrys. I think we counted 84 identical trucks parked in his yard, all immaculate. Tom has a contract to haul coal from an open cast mine near his home in Ayrshire, Scotland to a large electric generator plant. We were at his place to view his Massey Ferguson collection. Every shift? 2 or 3 shifts? I would think the people in town would demand a railway spur from the mine to the plant. I think one in New Mexico? And certainly one in Arizona are mine to power plant railways that never connected to the mainlines, every bit of them was trucked in to a point. Just back and forth, all day.... like 84 lorries...
