MF 35 Deluxe

Does anyone know if there was a different side panel on the deluxe vs. std MF35? I ordered one for a MF 35 and it has a different hole placement for the attachment to the rad. support. It is about 1 1/2 inches different than the old. I am wondering if they sent me one from a different model.

I can only speak from my experiences with the bonnet side panels fitted with the 3 cyl Perkins, and either 4 cyl. petrol or diesel models. Not sure about these fitted with the Continental engines.
The side panels for the 3 cyl. diesel models are 890 162M91 (RHS), and 890 163M91 for the L.H side.
For the four cyl petrol and 23C diesel models, 826 815M91 (RHS) and 826 816M91 for the LHS. There is about 24 m.m. difference in the hole placement.
Hope this helps,
Evan.

If you're talking about the "dog legs" that go along the side of the radiator, yes, there are different ones. The "chin" piece under the grill is different too to keep the crank hole aligned with the engine. I believe sometime between 59 & 62, the radiator got taller, thus requiring the hood to be raised. They raised the dash about an inch with a c-channel under the dash and then moved the hood pivot and crank holes lower to match the frame at the front. I learned this comparing my 1959 & 1962 35's. The gas tanks appear to be the same between them. The only different option between my two tractors is the 62 has multi-power.

I should also mention both tractors are Deluxe models, so I think the difference is age related and not option related.
