I am asking if the gear shift lever is supposed to freely move left to right. I"m restoring this tractor, and the shift boot is missing. Would the missing boot cause this movement, or are other parts related to this, or is this normal? The lever works properly in all gears, however. Some help or thoughts are appreciated.
