Front axle of MF150 adapt to a MF135

I have a MF135 and would like to use a front-end loader on it. I have the swept back axle which is not the best for strength. Can one adapt the MF-150 axle and support to the MF135 and still use the hood and other front end sheet metal parts to adapt to the 150 axle support or are they too much different. I have never seen a MF150 to compare so I am asking the experts here if they are similar enough to do this.

Yes and no? The axle itself? Maybe? Measure up all dimensions, but the pivot, housing, basket, whatever you callit... 'will' bolt to the 35's engine... but it is 3 times as big, longer wider, deeper? heavier fersure. The radiator, I suppose no swet, the tin? kinda doubt it. The dumb steering post you won't need is also an obsticle, but if you could use 'just' the square straight axle, you would have a much easier project than changing the whole front clip. But oin a loader tractor... improvise a hood? I will tackle a job like that in the spring, like you, to have the strongest option to handle a loader... and a 50's extra bolt bosses infront of the axle are impressive, we'll see eh?

Totally different design and totally different steering system, Sure it will bolt to the engine but then what? If you want a tougher axle then go for the non adjustable 202 axle. But if you use 3 bolts per side on that 135 type bent axle with the radius rods it will take a lot of hammering. We find them to be tougher than they look.

This is what Sam wants you to find. An axle and pivot from a 202. The PS is? might be? different than the basic 135, unless yours has the 2 pistons up front too.
He doesn't realize how priceless and rare this indistructable 'mercan made stuff is... and how much us yanks want to get into endless hours of welding and re-engineering projects... btw, the 135 does have a working power steering doesn't it?
