Pony Engine Assembly

Does anyone have any tips on assembling a Continental 62 out of a Pony? I got a complete Pony in boxes, engine was taken apart years ago. Looks like it's all there, just going through the parts to see if anything is missing. Never worked on a flathead before.

Have the head checked for being true at a machine shop.

engine is an engine, first thing make sure its clean.block may need caustic soaking.magnaflux. install new cam brgs. and cam , do valve job, install main brgs. and crank. install timing gears. follow manual for spec's. and just assemble it.
