Walking Plow

the only walking plow i have seen is one bottom. how would you even handle a 3 btm? once they put wheels on the plows the one btm. was called a sulky plow and the 2 btm. is called a gang plow, that the horses pulled.

There is someone on tractor talk that posted a picture of a 33 mule hitch... and a 3 bottom would look almost as bad. I have seen photos of one man with 2 or 3 bottoms with a set of handles , but it was being drawn by the winch on an steam traction engine on the far end of the field. And I know 3 and 4 bottoms were made in the 30's and 40's with a horse drawn clevis for a hitch, so it looks confusing, so yeah we need a picture of this thing of which you speak.

walking plow means you walk behind the horse drawn plow, not ride on it or stand infront of it like the ones the steam engines pulled.

Can't give you any details, but they looked something like this.
This one's a Syracuse.
