Hi Gerard,
There are three versions of the hydraulic pump fitted. The filter is in essentially the same place at the rear of the pump but access is different.
If your tractor is a later one look first on the underside of the rear centr housing, roughly on a line from the transmission dipstick but on the underside.
You may see a triangular plate held to the casing by three nuts or bolts. Drain the transmission and remove the plate. Inside you will find a spring clip and then a nut. Remove both and the filter will drop out.
If you don't have the plat access can be gained through the left hand side-cover. This however will depend on what equipment is fitted such as IPTO or auxillary pipework,
Assuming you don't have eithe and you have removed the cover you should find that the top of the filter is wired to the backplate of the pump. Cut the wire and use a small pair of pliers to undo the butterfly on top. Try and lift the complete assembly out as one. You will have the top cup, filter and bottom cup. There is a thin section O ring which normally stays on the pump. Ensure that it is not lost. Clean or renew the filter. If you don't have proper locking wire use a domestic electricalwire strand (cooker cable). Twist the wire ends after threading through the butterfly and backplate. Be careful as there are many potentially sharp edges on components around the filter.
Replace the cover and refill with oil.
If you have IPTO or aux pipework it may be necessary to remove the cover.
