i was mixing silage and round bales of hay today and my pto started to slip then quit under a load emptied the mixer and it does fine the hydraulics are ok and the lift the steering is hard at times idling is this the charge pump or the radial pump also when you first crank it you have to rev it a little for everything to start working can the pto clutch pack be bad also does anyone know where is a good place to start looking for the problem thank you |

| If I remember right the PTO works off the same circuit as the multi power. If the remotes work well I would assume the main hydraulic system is OK. I think the PTO circuit comes off the steering supply, which could be the steering priority valve. The priority valve is under the hood above the back of the engine. They have been known to stick - ie. no or hard steering. |
