i found in the bush to what i seem to believe is a massey harris 555 diesel high altitude. whats the difference between a regular 555 diesel?
anyone know how many produced? can anyone confirm it is actually a high altitude?

thanks

D stands for diesel
1 for regular altitude
S for standard
F for foot clutch
A high altitude
Biggest difference between high & regular altitude is engine compression. High has higher compression. And you have a 1956 according to the seriaal#

According to my 555 book, 1 is 1000 ft elevation while 5 is 5000 ft elevation. Now, there could be a letter A or P after the serial number which means it has an APE Pump or PSB Pump - which do you have?
