Filling Massey 30 with coolant

HI,
I just purchased a 1948 massey 30 that has been sitting in a barn for at least the last 20to25 years. The previous owner cut the radiator line and drained the coolant. My question is what is the proper way to fill up this tractor?? Once i get it running will i need to leave the radiator cap off to run the air out of the system? Also should i remove the thermostat first to fill the engine?? thanks
Mark

Put all of your hoses on , fill with coolant , start engine , after a few minutes refill, perhaps several times. This is a non pressurized sys that will find its own level , meaning it will spit the excess out till the level is proper.
