my massey 65 g176 continental is slowly getting hot. It can idle all day just fine, but start bushhogging and the temp goes up. It has even died a time or two. Here is the things I"ve done so far. I had the rad cleaned about 10 years ago. Maybe 800 hrs since. change antifreeze every 3 or 4 yrs. New water pump 6 yrs ago. flushed out system 3 times last month and took the t-stat out. it still gets hot. I changed the spark plugs and while out I looked in the holes and the piston and cylinder look gunky. No water that I could see. no water in oil and no oil in water. I did a comp test 175/175/154/175. I pulled the fan and straightened the blades (they weren"t really that bad, I figured what the heck worth a shot). . New rad hoses. The only thing I haven"t done is check the timing. I need to do it. which way advances it? cw or ccw? So, what do youns think? Any ideas? Thank You.
