Massey 203 tractor:

A friend has a Massey 203 tractor and he has managed to break the transmission cover or top. That is the part the seat attaches too on top of the transmission differential area. It cracked and he needs a replacement. Does anyone know if other models of Massey's are the same as the 203? As an example: would a transmission cover of a Massey 35 be the same as the 203? If so then he wouldn't have to be looking for only a 203 cover.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

If it's the part that the seat bolts to that is not the transmission cover, it's the 3 point lift cover. Yes, there are quite a few models which use the same cover. Some used different size hyd. cylinders for the 3 point lift, if it even has a 3 point. Some of the industrial tractors had it and some didn't. So other models that would have the same cover would be 202, 204, 205, TO35, 35, 50, F40 just to name a few. I'm sure there are others.
If it does not have a 3 point hitch system then that would limit your choices to mostly the industrial models (the 202, 203, 204 and 205) as all the others are agricultural models which (I think) all came with 3 point lifts.
