Does anyone know how many #6 mowers were made or if there are serial numbers to identify the year it was made.

I've got 3 and there are not serial numbers on them.
Hi, I would affirm that they had no s/n's. My
parts book says they were first built in 1942. It
is dated 1955 and I remember my dad getting in a
load of these in 1955 or so and setting them all
up. I imagine not many sold in 1942 thru mid '45.
They sure had a good reputation but how many sold
may be tough. Chuck
