Thanks very, very much. I assume the 7/16" pins are centered on the 1" face on the bottom of the tool. Is that correct? My lift cover is 1 1/8" thick. I would like to adjust both the draft and position control linkages on the lift cover of my MF30 industrial tractor. According to my service manual, the MFN 970 tool is used for both adjustments. The tool positions the ram arm a specified distance up from the gasket surface of the lift cover. If there is another (better?) way to do this, I would be glad to try it. Right now, I'm just working through the steps as they are given in my service manual. It's a marginally acceptable photocopy of the factory service manual. I purchased the copy about four years ago.
