Is there any way to get the dimensions on the MFN 970 tool so I could make one? I need to adjust the lift cover on a MF30 Industrial Tractor.
I would be grateful for any advice or assistance.

| This is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks very, very much. I assume the 7/16" pins are centered on the 1" face on the bottom of the tool. Is that correct?
My lift cover is 1 1/8" thick. Do you show different tools for the 1 1/8" and 7/8" lift covers?
Thanks again.

| Thanks for your quick response.
I would like to adjust both the draft and position control linkages on the lift cover of my MF30 industrial tractor. According to my service manual, the MFN 970 tool is used for both adjustments. The tool positions the ram arm a specified distance up from the gasket surface of the lift cover. There is a photograph of the tool on the following web pages in this forum.

I think you may have been involved in one or both of those threads.
If there is another (better?) way to do this, I would be glad to try it. Right now, I'm just working through the steps as they are given in my service manual. It's a marginally acceptable photocopy of the factory service manual. I purchased the copy about four years ago.
If it would be easier to communicate through e-mail, you can contact me at bradsayler(at)gmail.com I would be grateful for any advice or assistance. |

| Hello, The MF tool that you need is the ram arm tool. A sketch of it is shown. As far as I know the tool is the same although the part number is different for our side of the pond. DavidP |
