They take the same head gasket and thermostat and stuff. The temp sender location may be in a different place though, but some of the 260's were on one side or the other also. Book says compression on a 260 at 120 psi and on a 277, 130 psi. There is a casting # under the valve cover, could check that between the two. [Reply]  [No Email]
