I have a mid to late 70"s Massy 2705. It had set about five years, but when started everything was working fine after a few hours of driving it reverse failed. so the tractor has set another two years now. I have read most of the posts about the 24 speed transmission on here and have come to the conclusion that reverse is probably fine. When i shift in to high the tractor dogs down and about dies, when shifting between low and med nothing changes. i have looked over all the linkages and it all appears to be fine. any help will be greatly appreciated. |

| Intermediate is spring engaged and pressure released. Both low and high are pressure engaged. Could be that there are seals busted on the int. and low clutch packs. There are also other possibilities. Probably time to get a service manual and start doing some checking. |
