Looks like it may have some later sheetmetal. It says it's a 40.

My MF 2135 has a shuttle shift and hydraulic cylinder steering assist.

It's not a 40. A 40 would have either a manual
shuttle or instant reverse transmission. I'd say
probably a 2135 but I think the loader came off a
different model tractor because I don't think the
2135 came from the factory with a 200 loader. Might
be an MF 20 which is a newer version of the 2135.
The industrial models usually had the foot throttle.

The loader appears to be off a 40, but the grill looks to be off a 2135. What about the rear fenders?

Looks like 135 sheet metal a little bit, has the heavy front axle I have seen on only a couple tractors. I can't see the planetaries so it cant be a 40 industrial (they had the heavier rear end with internal brakes and outboard planetaries). My best guess is that its a 2135, but there could be about 5 other models that it is almost identical to.

The ad is Massey Ferguson-40hp. Not a F40. He should have put space in ad.

I think it is an industrial version of a 135 , or to be correct a 2135.It
would originally have been painted yellow and it has the same spec
as the agricultural version except fot the non adjustable front axle.
It could of course be a full industrial 203 with the hard nose
removed and an ag tractor hood fitted.

Hi,
Agree with Sam but add to that the heavy duty steering rods and what appears to be norman single brakes. Doesn't look like they were too careful about masking everything off from the red paint overspray.

Here in Oz, that machine would be an industrial MF 203,
Evan.
