Several months ago someone had a post about drilling and tapping armature to put a tack drive on a generator. Can you tell me what size you drilled it and tap you used? I also need to do the same. Thanks Mickey |

| Thanks Dan, this is what I was looking for. I have a Delco also that I'm building for a F 40 High Crop that is my next project. I bought this Delco and wanted to build it now while it was on my mind.I've ordered tack drive but haven't got it yet. I'm just about finished with a F 40 Row Crop, it still had the original generator but I didn't want to take apart since it's painted. Thanks again. |

| On my Super 90, I ordered and used a 3/8"-32 TPI tap from Enco. Of course your tractor may be different. |

| | I replaced the generator with a delco alternator. I machined a "square edge donut" to fit over the alternator rear bearing housing and mounted the Massey Ferguson tach drive gear box onto the donut. I D&T the alternator shaft as stated in the earlier post. Of course I had to provide an opening through the needle bearing cup for the tach drive. I am not familiar with your model tractor. |
