3 point top link yoke wobbles

I'm working on 3 point that doesn't lift well on a Massey 40 industrial. After doing a lot of reading here on the forum one check is to see if the rocker arm yoke that the top link connects to is loose. If so it can cause the system not to lift. Mine is loose and wobbles by hand, but what do I do to fix it? Can the spring be adjusted so it is tight? Didn't see any adjustments.

If you have end float in the control spring assembly that could well be the cause of your problems. Do NOT try to tighten it using the special outside nut. The assembly will need to be removed and the spring adjusted to no more than stiff to turn by hand. The assembly should then be refitted and the control spring nut adjusted until play disappears but not overtightened. Make sure that the DRAFT lever is in the 'down' position.

This may help if you have to dismantle it ........

Hi,
Where the neck is on the yoke you will find a pin.
Tap the pin out using a punch. Unscrew the yoke off the plunger rod. You will find a very recent posting from me on how to free it if tight and how to reassemble it.
