I have an old cessna pump (K 20644-1CEH matches to MF 706 105 M91) that is going out on me, and was wondering if I could put a new different pump on that is close to spec. The challenge is matching up the shaft coupler size to the pump shaft...has anyone done this before...is it difficult to do or is it easy if you match the sizes?
Right now, my shaft coupler is supposed to be 11 3/8" long, and screws into the crank pulley adapter with 3/4" threads (reverse I think)...the coupler is a keyed female...I found a pump that has 5/8" dia shaft, but I'm not sure of the diameter of the coupler.
My setup is mickey moused welded and the shaft, pulley adapter and pump need to be replaced. Can anyone offer some advice?
