First off while discing in 104 degree heat my 165 never even broke the 180 degree mark on engine temp. It simply worked great!!!!!!!! Second cool thing that occurred was while discing a person driving by stopped and we had a brief discussion about tractors. He said he's seen a lot of JD's and Ford's working around here but never a Massey Ferguson. He said it was "refreshing" seeing some work being done with something other then the usual machines. Good times. :D

Isn't it wierd how coolant and antifreeze can seem cooler that what you're breathing? especially around you. My AC went out, didn't bother with it, didn't miss it, till the colorado river vally, 114 in the van, 113 under the hood. How can that be? I now have a 165, and whatever is wrong with yours, it's still better off than mind. Glad they are working out for you!

Well once you get your 165 going strong you'll be really impressed. It's powerful and very comfortable.

Isn't it weird how people you don't even know and most especially friends and neigbors always stop by when they see you working, like they are subconsciously jealous that you are accomplishing something.

YEAH! Especially the further north ya go! When you are trying to beat the sundown, strangers want to visit like old friends, kill the rest of the daylight. When it is 30 below and you are ready to strangle yourself with cabin fever, even the mailman doesn't stop for a chat...

Yeas, I just flipped thru my old. Nebraska tractor test book, and the 165 had nearly 65 horse, but the 65 was barely 50, the 50 not 40hp, I didn't think they dropped off so much. I have an option to fit the biggest gas engine in my dead horse, might be a good option, can't tell when you will need that extra bit of firepower eh? It is still that hot out there eh? The hurricane non event cooled things off alot...
