That's not cast iron. That's aluminum or zinc. I haven't tried to fix a cultivator lever yet. I would use 5min expoxy. A small piece of brass rod and those little aligator clips to hold it together. A little green paint after the glue sets up.

I never bought that Precision when it came out. The JD dealer $104.95. I just couldn't wrap my mind around paying that much for a toy. At one time they were selling for over $400. Now I think $150 is about tops. Most have one or both levers broken.

The toy with the cultivator is a 1/16 scale Precision Classics model A. It was made to be displayed and not played with. Your toy is a 1/16 scale Model BN. That is a shelf model toy made for kids to play with. Ertl also made a B narrow front with rubber tires, BW wide front, and a B collector edition with steel wheels.

They went really high for quite awhile then the market crapped itself the amount of detail on this is quite amazing the lever actually move and the clutch lever moves the Belt pulley brake the engine fan turns the steering has worm gears that move the cultivator rigs all have working linkage and real chain with separate links to raise and lower . You can buy them all day for 150 to 175 mint in box with both levers attached coin and book plastic on the tires but I really don’t want to spend that much where I have one
