We have come into possession of a steel Caterpillar roadgrader toy that was manufactured sometime in the 1970s. It was part of a series of Caterpillar toys that were produced exclusively for the company, and some were given out as gifts to employees. The donor of this one worked for Caterpillar 30 years ago, and has a few of them.
We have absolutely no idea who manufactured them. There is no manufacturer, date, patent, serial number, or any other information visible anywhere on the toy. Nothing but the "Caterpillar" decal on the sides, about the grading blade.
It is 12" long and 4" high. It is more elaborate in detail, and has more detail and authentic movable parts than I've ever seen in pictures I've been able to turn up online.
If anybody can give us some information about it, or point us to places where we can get information, and, hopefully, some idea about value and sale, that would be enormously valuable to our ministry.
