Saw where these sold today for $1700. Are these rare? Whats the scoop?

They were about 600 new I think when they came out .

I was thinking they were the the ones commeratimg John Deere the mans 200 birthday . These are for the 50th aniversary of the 4020 .

There are annrevsary tractors for the 3020 and 4020.

Went back, and sure enough thats what he said.

"Ertl John Deere 3020/4020 Gold Set (1 of 50 Made)!"

Not the one'(s) I thought you meant. I remember back when the 3010/4010's first came out. The dealer had one mounted on a board with some kind of plaque with writing on it,on the parts counter.
