1949 H pedal tractor with Firestone tires

Back in 2008 there was a thread about an Eska H with Firestone rear tires. An explanation was give about them from someone named 'pedalman' that worked for Eska at the time they were produced. Others including Farmallred, RichBossman, and billinnb others. Well, I got one of those a couple years ago, and never looked up any information until yesterday. I was very surprised at the findings from those above. Mine is the one with the cotter pins for the axles and pedals, not the solid shaft one as mentioned. However, it still would have been one of that ones from #50 to #100.
Today I had someone very knowledgeable about pedals take issue with the finding in the thread mentioned. I have never been on this forum, always in the Ferguson section. Long story short, does anyone know these fellas mentioned from 2008, or have information about this. I sure like to talk to pedalman about this.
I going to be on a tractor ride from tomorrow until Friday night so if I don't respond to this, that's why. I'll try to get back next weekend. Gotta mow yards Saturday when I get home. Yipe!!

Thanks very much,
Irv

Are you sure they were not talking about an IH Model M from 53 and 54?

They were sold with 2 different axles.

I see no listings for the H with axle determination.

No he is talking about the open grill H. The story is that the first 50 of the tractor had firestone tires and no holes for cotter pins on the front post or rear axle to hold the wheels on, along with the crank not being threaded for the hex nut cap. Eska really did a lot of trial and error things in their production of pedal tractors in the beginning. I have seen a lot of tires that said Orco on them, but never a firestone.
The original thread has someone offering $50,000 for this tractor and claims it to be worth more than the Coffin Block A John Deere. But I have never heard or seen one of those sell and I follow pedals pretty closely.

Sorry, I have seen firestone tires, they were the flat ribbed tread that were on the first edition. Just none of the axles mentioned above.

Hi guys.
I made it back from a BEAUTIFUL tractor ride up in the Waukon Iowa area in the very NE part of the state. Nice and cool and very scenic.
Yea, MM03, you're correct about that thread on the H. It really got my blood pumping. And ,also, it does have the 'smooth ribbed' style Firestone tires. The tractor and tires are still at my friends house. As soon as I get it home, I'll post some pics. Thanks for the interest.
Again, does anyone know who those fellers were back in 2008 that posted.

I have a farmall small H and it does have firestone rear tires and eska front tires. Still has the original dome hupcaps on the back so not sure what the axle attachemt looks like.
