Oliver Pedal Tractor - Information Please

Good Morning Gentlemen, I would like to find an oliver pedal tractor for my son but would like a little information on them first. I have a 1949 Oliver 77, my brief research shows that a 77 pedal tractor was never produced. The next closest thing would be an 88, which brings to question the closed grill/open grill I see reference to. So I would ask if someone could please school me on these and bring me up to speed on what I should be looking for.

How hard are these pedal tractors to locate?
How much are they typically selling for? I'm not afraid of doing some work to one.
Are there websites for replacement parts?

As always, I sincerely appreciate any advice you guys have to offer.

The Small Oliver closed grill and open grill tractors are one of the hardest to find. They range between $3000-$4000. These were the first Oliver pedal tractors produced. They then made a Large 88 Oliver with a closed grill only, it runs around $1200-$1500. Not as hard to locate, but still not easy. To see examples of these tractors that are for sale google wengers of myerstown PA and look under the collectors corner tab. Scale Models did make a row crop 70 oliver pedal tractor in the 1990"s that are for more common, $250-$350. Parts are available on a lot of sites, Samuelson Pedal tractor parts, johns pedal tractor parts, and so on. Hope this helps,

Here's my "closed grille" that I got for Christmas in 1956. Then and now.

Someone is always selling old pedal tractors on craigslist check Madison or La Crosse Wisconsin. Search under the farm and garden section..type in (pedal) they show up in the town of Rio. No Oliver's listed now but have seen then in the past give him a call. Good Luck
