I found one I haven't seen before

Here is a 1466 with duals and ROPS that I have never seen before.

By the box it is from the 70's. Yet I have found no listing of it.

Anyone else seen one before. Can anyone else read the box on top? I am thinking this might be a custom built in a box from another model.

It has never been out of the box. Just dusty.

Since my first post I have figured out the background on this model. It is not custom built it is factory.

I will reveil it tomorrow.

Here is the story.

This 1466 tractor is a 1979 by Toy Farmer with a ROPS from a MF 275. Only 500 were made. And yes they were packaged in that box for sale.

Kind a of a strange duck that I had never seen till this one.
Now I want one.

This one is on an auction on Saturday.

I cannot attend as I am BBQing 250 pounds of pork for a benefit dinner for a sick neighbor.

I called yesterday to place a bid with the auctioneers as I know them.

After I told him what I want to bid he said what is so special about this 1466. I told him never mind. He called me back and said he did some checking and figured it out himself.

I asked if he was gonna tell the story at the sale. He said I have to for the seller.

I'm now screwed on my bid. If I could have just went to the auction and kept my mouth shut, I may have got a bargain.

Oh well we will see what happens. The damage to the box may hold the price down.

My brother and I each had one, back in the day. Mine was lost later in life, to a tornado. It would be a good guess he still has his.
