Farmall pedal tractor, maybe 50's or 60's? help

My grand-dad gave my dad this farmall pedal tractor, who then gave it to me. I can"t find a model number but someone told me it may be a small h. Can someone please identify this for me and give some information like year of production and exact model? It would be much appreciated.

It is almost impossible to tell the exact pedal tractor you have, since they made two variations of the small model H pedal. one had an open grill and the other a closed grill. since this tractor has been customized with the grill screen the original front of the casting either broke or was cut to then put the grill screen in place. I would assume this is a 1950 Small model H farmall open grill based solely on the type of tires that are on the tractor, I don't recall the other small h with the closed grill having these tires put on it.

It is for 100% sure a 1949 Farmall Small H with open grill and the radiator cap. I can tell by the fact the seat bracket is flush with the back of the tractor and the radiator cap on the front. The version with the radiator cap is harder to find, but this tractor will need a lot of work and a good welder to get the grill back in. They did come with both with rib and lug treads for rear wheels.

As per my original answer I believe you have what is called a Small H (Type 1) That being said it has the WRONG front wheels, steering wheel, & pedals. That can all be fixed but what is the bad part is it is ALMOST RUINED as someone has either cut or broken the grill.

So is this the 49 or 50 model. 2 people said it was the 49 model. and it was a rare-er version. Any idea what it would be worth as is to a collector.

My estimate is $250 -$400 in present condition. Could fetch a little more, but based off what I have seen that is a fair range.

I found this one at a antique store. Could not pass it up. I have ordered a steering wheel pedals and front tires. I think everything else is still original

That is a sweet looking project! I never find stuff like that in an antique store, mind me asking what you gave for it?

Yeah that is a steal of a deal. I see the original toy in this post has found its way to ebay today. Starting bid at $275.

well between the new front tires, steering wheel and pedals I will have a little less then that in it. I can get the grill parts for 16.00 but then need to pay to have it mig welded and rear hubs to be complete but not rally going to do that right now. Kinda like it in work cloths.

It wouldnt be worth much to a collector since the customization to the front end completely took away the value of the original casting. The original casting of this model is worth upwards of 3 grand, but since it has been cut to put the grill screen on, I would say your best bet would be to have it listed on ebay or get it put on a toy auction with a bunch of pedals since its value is really whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I would say you should be able to get more than the 400 dollar value that has been placed on it. Good Luck if you do decide to sell it.

$3000? You are a little out of date on pricing. That particular model has only been selling for half that fully restored.
