Old 1/16 4020 anyone?

Back in the 60's when I was a kid, my cousins and I all had our 1/16 scale tractors and equipment. I had the 3020 narrow and 3020 wide front that was popular then (still have them). Both my cousins had a 4020 with tri-cycle front. Both the front and back wheels of their 4020's where slightly larger than either of my 3020's. I haven't seen one of those 4020's since. They were made by ertl. Does anyone know the model number? Ever seen one?
 
I could always be proved wrong by someone who knows better than I do, but I don"t think anybody other than a custom builder, built a true 4010/4020 till up in the 90"s.

I"m pretty sure the two on ebay - while listed as a 4020, are actually 3020s. They are too short to be 6 cylinder tractors.

Ertl made LOTS of different versions of the 3020 over the years. Some of them had bigger rear wheels than others. They also made a 5020, but I"m not sure when they first came out.

C&M took a modified 3020 casting and sold some 4020s back before Ertl made any. There was also some 6030s custom built using modified 5020 and 7520 casting.

Do you have any pics of the toys you are talking about?

This looks a lot like it. The other photo you showed appears to be the 3020 wide front. Back in the 60"s, these tractors had thin solid rubber tires and a cast metal rim. One of mine even had a three point hitch, which I have not seen since except on the expensive ones.
 
Wasn't there something like 17 variations of those when you start counting levers,filters,tire and wheel combos,wide and narrow front etc?
 
I am going to agree with Mitch. There was no 4010's or 4020' made or sold in the 60's. The first true 4010 and 4020 came out in 1990.

There were 3 variations of the 3010 and 10 variations of the 3020 sold in the 60's. No 4010 or 4020.

Then there were several reproductions of the 3010 and 3020 made in the 90's. The 4010 and 20 were also produced in the 90's.
