I think I know the've been busy with the Starkville Farm Toy Show, right?

The report in Toy Farmer tells me you had a good show there.

How are things going with your house after the fire?

Take care,

Ain"t seen the Toy Farmer, but there must be typo - I do not have a cotton picker. BUT, if the one you are talking about is the one (there were three) that was at the Starkville show - it"s a top-notch build!

Itching to get back to the bench. Wishing I"d get rained in for a couple weekends. We need the rain and I need the bench time.

I just checked the Toy Farmer. It says, "A cotton packer made by Mitch Sisson". Note the misspelling on picker. Maybe I've got the wrong back name for you, eh?

You got the right man. I did build the cotton "packer". And it made the mag? I"m famous!

I need to get that one painted and start another one.

Although I grew up in Indiana, I almost went to Mississippi State, or at least my dad wanted me to. We had an older, distant relative who lived in Starkville and Dad went down there to visit a few times in the late '40s/early '50s.

The older relative's last name was Bowles (pronounced "ballas") and one of his daughters was married to a Mose Cooper, who had something to do with MSU. There's probably still some descendants of them around those parts.

Hey Stan! I"m still here! Ain"t had a lot of time for internetting lately. Toy show was a blast! Still working on toys - a little...finding the time is hard right now.

We just about got our new place feeling like home. Finally got the long neglected yard cleaned up and looking respectable, and a tornado came thru and got a bunch of trees. Very little damage to the house - we were very lucky (blessed!). I"ve almost got all the downed trees out of the yard, but I"ve still got a lot of little cleaning up to do. Been helping neighbors who had more damage than we had. And the kids are keeping me hopping as well.

Working on some toy projects that I need to share with you guys.

How have you been?

Doing fine down here in the desert...sure need some rain!

Glad the tornado didn't do too much's been a heckuva year for those storms. We've got friends who grew up in Joplin and lots of people they know got wiped out of their homes.

Your cotton picker in Toy Farmer looks good, and I assume that it is. What do I know about cotton pickers? I'm just a country boy from Indiana.
