Spec Cast DC Cases

I just received my DC4 from Binkley & Hurst and it is very nice. However, I noticed that it has both a magneto and an ignition coil. It also has a two compartment gas tank but a gasoline manifold. I decided to check my other D series tractors and all the other DC's have the same setup. The D and the DCS do not have the coils but everything else is the same as the DC's.
Why can't these toy manufacturers have someone with a little knowledge check prototypes before production begins so things are done correctly?
At least these are not as bad as the Franklin Mint SC that came out a few years ago with both Eagle Hitch and motor lift.

I live 1/2 hr from Spec Cast & Scale Models. My ex-brother in law kept asking me about a vac tractor he needed for a scale out job. I told him I thought I was as well informed as anyone about old tractors, but never heard of a vac tractor. I know you folks are already on top of this.....CASE VAC tractor.

He would not know the differance if I'd showed him a JD B.

There was a "new" 3010 Deere that came out quite a few years ago now. The collector model was a diesel, shelf model was supposed to be gas,or the other way around,I forget which. ANYWAY,the shelf model ended up being gas on one side of the engine, diesel on the other.

I have a 3010 and a 4010 Ertl that has the carb on the left side and the diesel stuff on the left. The 3010 (wide front) has the diesel decal, the4010 (NF) doesn't. These tractors are about 10 yr. old and"never been in the field"
