900 type Ford toy Tractor

I have a narrow front 900 series Ford maybe 1/8 or 1/16 scale tractor. Can anyone help me i.d. this toy. I asked the toy dealer at the Tunica Pull, and he said he had never seen one. I wonder if this was a dealer "giveaway"?
Thanks for any help, doorman

I have seen them and they were made for sale.

They were about 1/12 scale.

The local ford dealer sold them here in the early 70's.

If this is the same tractor I am thinking of. I don't know the ford model numbers that well.

But it was an oversized (compared to the other models) tractor.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure of the scale, but it is somewhere in that size range. There is no marking or manufacturer names on it that I can find. It has a lever operated three point hitch so it must have come with attachments. Thanks again, doorman

It should be 1/12th scale. The story supposedly behind the use of the odd scale is that the Ford 9N-2N-8N series tractor were smaller than the competition and Henry Ford did not want the toy tractors to show the difference, so he had them built in the larger 1/12th scale as compared to 1/16th of everyone else.

Thanks for all replies. How rare is it? is it worth much? The paint is in poor condition, but steering and three point work. Thanks doorman

You said Narrow Front, red and grey paint.

There was a 961 built in 1958 by Hubley with a 3pt and in good condition is worth about $120. Execelent is $225.

I would need more infro to get the other prices.

There were about 20 different 900 series tractors built in 1/16 and 1/12. Even one in 1/10 scale.
