A friend of ours has this pedal tractor and wants us to paint it for them. It is industrial yellow now and they want it to be green. Someone said it was worth more yellow and unrestored. If this is true--how much? It is not for sale, their 16 year old daughter passed away this summer in an auto accident and they are just looking at cleaning it up. We don't want to ruin the value (if any) of changing the color/original condition. Any help would to a long way.

I have a 520 Industrial John Deere Pedal Tractor, it was made in Iowa, by the ertl co. I was wondering on how to tell the manufacter year on it. I am sure that it was made in the early 60's-70's. I am in northern Alberta, with ties to Iowa and Nebraska...family has been users of John Deere from way back...thank you.

I have recently restored my John Deere 520 with genuine parts. Could you possibly tell me what the value of my pedal tractor is?

Do not paint it green, it is worth about 350 yellow and maybe 200 green
