Hello, does anyone know where I can get information on how to install a check valve in the supply line to the front hydraulic pump, to prevent flowback, to avoid the main pump running dry on startup? Thank you

Early serial number or 201,000 and up?

Synchro or hydro?

There's been lots of posts on here about both the early and later synchro tractor oil bleed back problem.

FINDING them in the archaic search here is another matter.

DEERE Service Bulletin R.84-70-2 addresses the earlier tractors,
T69-3 page 3 , T70-10 page 3, and T71-2 page 3 are for the later tractors.

Hopefully, someone will post a link to an appropriate thread here based on your serial number, if not I have the info saved on my computer and can post it if needed.

Its a synchro range, serial # 107264. Is this a 1965
model? I cant find the 4020 site to verify the year. Thank
you

Welcome to YT
It appears from viewing 4020 serial # chart located LH side on this sites home page that your 4020 is a 1966 model. See if link below is what you're seeking about check valve.
