Hi all
I have a 2640 with a 240 quick attach loader. I have been having hydraulic troubles for some time. When the loader is connected to the tractor all the hyd lines
get hot, to hot to touch. This usually happens within 30 minutes then I begin to lose power steering. This only happen when the loader is mounted on the tractor.
so to my pea brain I would think the trouble would be in the loader. I have replaced the loader control valve and have had the two lift cylinders rebuilt. I have
followed the 2640 service manual hydraulics trouble shooting procedures and could find nothing wrong. There is a Pressure Relief Valve on the loader, could a
failure in this, cause my problem? Could I bypass this Pressure Relief Valve to trouble shoot?

Thanks for the help.

To diagnose I suggest to disconnect FEL relief valve drain hose from reservoir & return hose from tractor. With both hoses open(no fittings attached) & FEL control valve levers in neutral then start engine & no oil should exit either open hose.
