1950 B Steering Column

I have 1950, B with steering column part nos.B 2533R. Above this number is a screwed on plate with the number 20. Can someone explain the significance of the extra tag with the number 20?

I think it has some thing to do with the casting number,,these makings are not uncommon.

Thanks Tim. Curious as I have a '49 B for parts and '50 B I'm restoring. Previously owned by late uncle. One steering post has the extra 20 tag (50 I assume) and also hole for long choke rod. The other post has no choke rod hole and no extra 20 tag.
This continues to be an excellent forum. I have and continue to learn so much!
