Had a bad rubber washer in the automatic fuel shut off and all the fuel went in the bottom end. Rebuilt shut off and changed oil now when I started it it has a hollow knock on both cylinders. Anybody ever run into this? It was not ran with the oil in the bottom end and has good oil pressure now. Thanks in advance.

If the tractor was not run with diluted engine oil it shouldn't be knocking.
BUT!! If it sat for a period of time with a large amount of gas in the oil it
might be possible the ( O Ring ) on the RH & LH main bearing housing has enlarged
which reduces the amount of flow to that main & the rod bearing on each side.
Is the OIL PRESSURE Higher than what it was? If it's pegged I would be looking into
the main bearing housing O RINGS. Not very big & not very expensive but very important.

Without hearing the KNOCK I don't know but I do know if you run it much & that is the problem
you will be into a much larger repair.

Are you referring to #29 in this drawing?

Yes #29, one on each main bearing housing.. Might as well purchase the gasket. They come in a package of 4.
& a 1st reduction gear housing gasket unless it comes off in one piece. Once there you should replace
Both outer crank shaft seals.

Question? How long did it sit with diluted oil?

Is the Oil Pressure Higher than Normal?

You could try as a test, remove rod bearing caps & inspect for oil starve? You could apple grease gun grease
in both rod caps & tighten, put the cover back on & start up & see if the noise has changed?

I've seen the O Ring seal swell up & shut the oil off to those bearings.. RH house feeds right main & rod
Same goes for the 6lh housing..

You will need to build or buy a puller to get the crank shaft drive gear off

The tractor sat for maybe a week with gas in the oil. The oil pressure now is the same as it was before it happened.

Thanks for the help and info.
