If the loader does have a closed center valve the pressure valve on the valve itself needs to be bottomed out tight, most of them are set at 1500-1800 PSI,, you tractor is giving it 2250psi so that valve would be by-passing and heating up the oil,,but I don't know what you have for sure..

Does the NH use hydraulics?

The NH has a single acting cylinder. Yesterday I pulled a hay rake which is ground driven for almost three hours and hydraulic temp didn’t rise more than a quarter of the gage. Purchased an ir thermometer and after raking, oil cooler and reservoir 105F. Steering unit and valve by the oil filter the same. I did find the Pto valve at 150. And of course, push in the clutch and we lose all steering, brakes (bumped the new barn siding due to this). Is the problem the valve and could the pistons at the Pto clutch need rebuilt?
