What are the pro and con of 2510,3010,3020
diesel tractor.are parts still available on
all three.i have got 4020 diesel,just
looking for another one with less
horsepower.

3010 steer clear. 2510 and the 2520 in particular are good .
 
My pick would be the 2510. We have both a 2510 and a 2520 here as well as five 3020's. The 3020 is a good tractor but lacks throttle response when compared to the 2510. The 3020 engine balancer is the reason for them being a little sluggish. The two draw backs to a 3010 are the pto and they have the large fuel injecters which are expensive to work on. The first 3020's have the big injecters as well. The 2510 left the factory with a four piston hyd pump. If you have one that is working they are ok but when it needs repair replace it with an eight piston out of a 3020 or 4020. Tom
 
You have good advice so far. I have a 2510 and have had several 3020?s. 2510 and 2520?s are a lot bettter tractors.
 
I was in the same boat as you so I bought a 3020 diesel powershift last winter I love it basically a 4020 only smaller it handles all the implements I have for my 4020 just not as fast . It handles nice and rides like a Cadillac I especially like the powershift transmission. I just got through dragging a 16 foot John Deere 100 series tool carrier with a 16 inch wheat land sweeps 5 inches deep in 3rd and 4th gear across 147 acres with it a few weeks ago . Running over the same ground again pulling a 13 foot vibra shank in 5th gear right now

The 13 feets cultivator must be quite a load for the 3020s!

One thing JD should have done is to forget the 3020 second gen and sell the 3420 (only in argentina) everywhere (6 cylinders 300 series engine in 3020 chassis).
Main reason is that they sound so much nicer. The sound of the 3010/3020 is their greatest defect in my humble opinion.
