My 1969 JD400 180CI Gas industrial has stumped me ,and I need some help or ideas . Was running good and last 1/2 dozens time it was
getting hard to start and eventually wouldn't start . So I wanted to upgrade the points and condenser to electronic ignition. I removed distributor
installedd the new electronic ignition along with new cap rotor and plugs. After advancing the timing I got it to fire but didn't sound right (like
missing a cylinder) to rule out a bad or wrong electronic ignition I I removed electronic put new points and condenser in and it ran the same
way. Coil is new and I get spark at all 4 plugs ,compression is good in all cylinders ,gas is good ,air is good . So Reinstalled the electronic
ignition started it and idled it up so it would run and unplugged each wire at 1 at a time and there was engine bog on each cylinder except #2
,which leads me to believe #2 is not combusting . Could I have messed up the timing so I'm missing the #2 cylinder fire ? Ifiring order is correct
and I swapped plug wires same thing . I turned distributor To advance and retard but still sounds the same . Any suggestions?

Stuck valve as in open or bent push rod or valve out of adjustment or a bad distributor cap or bad plug wire or bad plug and of those things can cause a problem like that
